In the last chapter we reviewed the current environment at Lisa Jane Designs and found they already had infrastructure in place that we can use. This includes a good quality network, two suitable Active Directory Domain Controllers, and a File Server that would be ideal for use as a File Share Witness.
The following diagram shows the planned configuration of the servers and associated network subnets:
As shown in the diagram, you will see we will be using the following three subnets:
192.168.7.0/24: as the perimeter network, with a firewall protecting internal clients from unauthorized access
192.168.8.0/24: as the internal network, that is used by internal servers and workstations and will include our Exchange Servers
192.168.9.0/24: as the Database Availability Group (DAG) replication network, allowing us to segregate replication traffic within the DAG from the client networks
