In the previous pages, we've had a look at what policies we can make use of with iOS devices and we have also seen what effects enabling each policy has on the device, along with what the end user experience is like.
The next step is to understand how to actually create and manage the policies in Exchange Server 2010 or Office 365.
In Exchange Server 2010 and Office 365, an administrator can not only modify the default policy that affects all end users of the Exchange Organization, but also create and modify additional policies that can then be assigned to a subset of users, depending on the requirements. For example, we could have a default policy that required devices to lock after not being used for five minutes by default, and then add an additional policy for users of Satellite Navigation software that specified a 15 minute timeout before the device locks.
