In this chapter, we covered the analysis of dense-point datasets. You learned how to create raster heat maps with the help of the QGIS Heatmap plugin. Then, we covered analysis of heat maps and data extraction from them.

You also familiarized yourself with an alternative and popular technique for displaying dense datasets, called binning, and you learned how to perform hexbinning (a kind of binning technique) in QGIS using the Processing framework.
