CRM App for Outlook

Newly added with Dynamics CRM 2016 Online, the CRM App for Outlook allows us to surface Dynamics CRM details directly into Outlook Web Access (OWA). When accessing Outlook directly from the browser, we are now presented with a view into Dynamics CRM if configured as such, and we have the ability to track information and interact with the CRM functionality without the need for the Outlook client and the CRM for Outlook plugin.

This functionality is not meant to completely replace the CRM for Outlook functionality, but provides features that allow online clients to work with Dynamics CRM records and data using a light client.

Details of this functionality have been covered in Chapter 4, Building Better Business Functionality.
