Overview of this book

Spring MVC is the ideal tool to build modern web applications on the server side. With the arrival of Spring Boot, developers can really focus on the code and deliver great value, leveraging the rich Spring ecosystem with minimal configuration. Spring makes it simple to create RESTful applications, interact with social services, communicate with modern databases, secure your system, and make your code modular and easy to test. It is also easy to deploy the result on different cloud providers. This book starts all the necessary topics in starting a Spring MVC-based application. Technical requirements

The project will start with the configuration and setup of the base Spring MVC 4.x platform. Refer to Chapter 1Creating a Personal Web Portal (PWP) for all the processes. Then, the following libraries are required in the project for the implementation of a forum-based or survey-based feedback system.

Captcha libraries

The following are the popular Captcha libraries used by the CFS to provide security to all forms for posting and dropping topics and feedback. The system does not have tight security because it is available to any respondents concerned with the topics.

reCaptcha

The reCaptcha is the easiest plugin to be integrated into a Spring MVC application. It is an open-source plugin that provides ready-made Captcha images to be used in any sites. It does not require any coding either from the back-end or client-side side. This plugin is owned by Google and can be visited at http://www.google.com/recaptcha.
