Jet Express for GP


There are two additional features we'd like to share regarding the GL function for building any financial statements using Jet Express for GP. One feature can eliminate a potential problem, while the second adds cool functionality to refreshing reports. Let's dig into these now.

Eliminating values that should be zero

Occasionally, when referencing categories or accounts that have no transactions and, therefore, a zero balance, Jet may display an amount because it doesn't know what to do if no transactions exist. This is easy to correct and/or prevent.

In the following example, we have built a report that displays the account number, account description, and the amount for two account categories. The first category is Cash and the second is Deferred Revenue/Expense accounts. Although there are some accounts assigned to the Deferred Revenue/Expense categories, these accounts have never been used; yet, a balance displays on the report. Let's correct this now:
