Update speed

This is an extremely important section. The rate at which this application is being enhanced is mind-blowing. There is a new version of the Power BI Desktop every month, and a new version of the Power BI Service every week. It is because the product is being enhanced and developed so quickly, we'll only cover the basics in this book.

When the Power BI Desktop has a new version, you'll receive a notification in the bottom-right corner of your PC when you log in. This notification will prompt you to download and install the latest version. You do not need to uninstall first, but you will need to close the application prior to performing the installation.

As the Power BI Service is actually on a web page, you do not need to do anything. Just use as normal and the enhancements will be there.
