Content packs


As you begin building dashboards, what if you want to share them with other members of your team? What if you want to take these dashboards and put them in a library for easy access? Have you wondered if some of your software providers are providing you libraries of dashboards you can use? Microsoft has thought of these questions already and has provided you with a feature called content packs.

Now, I suppose you are wondering why I am discussing a library of dashboards in a chapter about getting data. The explanation is not only simple but cool. These content packs not only provide you with sample or template dashboards, but they also provide you with connection information already built-in; you will only need to supply the login, if required. So you get data on a content pack and log in, and voila, you are up and running!
