Without the extensive utilization of a Java profiling tool, many programs would be prone to bugs as well as degradation of code, which would in turn lead to the program hanging or even crashing. Initially, when profiling tools were created, many developers were quite weary of using them due to the fact that they made the whole process considerably slower.
