Adding push notifications to your app

Push notifications are a great way to provide a constant feedback loop between the app and the user by continually providing app-specific data that's relevant to the user. Messaging applications send notifications when new messages arrive. Reminder applications display a notification to remind the user of a task at a specific time or location.
