Using the SQL processor


There are instances, especially when testing, where accessing an Entity Engine data source directly without using the Entity Engine delegator methods prove useful. For example, if you need to test a query before embedding it within the logic of your Application, or if you need to drop a table from a database, you can use the SQL Processor tool to communicate SQL statements directly to the target database.

Getting ready

To get started with the WebTools SQL Processor tool, either navigate to the WebTools main web page and select the Entity SQL Processor, or go directly to the tool's URL located at:

https://localhost:8443/webtools/control/EntitySQLProcessor

If you have not already logged in, you will be prompted to log in. Enter the administrator's username and password. If these have not changed since initial system download, the administrative user's name is "admin" and the password is "ofbiz".
