Working with Google Maps options


In the previous recipe, we looked at the default map options set by the Ext.util.Map class. In your application, say you are building an application to show forest, mountains, and rivers around a particular place. In this case, you will have to set the map options according to your application need. This recipe will show us how to achieve this.

Getting ready

Make sure that you have set up your development environment by following the recipes outlined in Chapter 1.

How to do it...

Carry out the following steps:

  1. Edit the ch10_02.js file and add the mapOptions property as shown in the following code:

    Ext.setup({
        onReady: function() {
        
     var pnl = new Ext.Panel({
        fullscreen: true,
        items     : [
            {
                xtype : 'map',
                mapOptions: {
                  center: new google.maps.LatLng(17.22, 78.28),
                  mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.TERRAIN,

                }
            }
        ]
    });
      }              
    });
  2. Deploy...
