Business Rules engine

SOA Suite has a lightweight Business Rules engine. If you have simple rules, you may use the Business Rules engine that comes with the SOA Suite. If you want to manage complex rules, it is recommended to use an external Business Rule Management Systems (BRMS) such as Oracle Business Rules and IBM iLog. External third-party rule engines can connect with the SOA Suite. Configure custom JCA Adaptors or use WSDL for connecting the SOA Suite with an external Business Rules engine.

One of the basic requirements of business is the ability to change the rules without a code change or deployment. SOA Suite Rule engine can be used for editing Business Rule dynamically; however, one of the disadvantages of using SOA Suite Rule engine is that, it does not have a web interface for business analysts to edit the rules.
