Time for action - populating a resource file and configuring the project


  1. 1. Start off by opening the Hansel.rrc file by double-clicking it within the project.

  2. 2. Key values are added by using the Add Key button. Click on the Add Key button to add a new key value to the resource file.

  3. 3. Enter APPLICATION_TITLE into the Add Key dialog and press on the OK button.

  4. 4. Repeat the previous steps to add an APPLICATION_DESCRIPTION key.

  5. 5. Setting the value of a key is done directly in the Resource Editor window. Double-click in the Values column next to the APPLICATION_TITLE key in the resource editor. When the cursor appears in the editor, type in the application name in this case, Hansel.

  6. 6. Open the Spanish version of the resource file by double-clicking the Hansel_es.rrc file. Notice that the values entered previously are not populated!

  7. 7. Enter a value for the keys in the Spanish resource. Set the application name to Hansel as before, but set the description key to Le ayuda a encontrar tu camino...
