AIR for iOS deployment settings

We are almost ready to publish a native iOS app from Flash. Now it is actually time to use the development files that you created during Chapter 1, Getting Started with iOS App Development. As part of the deployment process, Flash Professional requires both your P12 certificate file and your development provisioning profile. Without these files it will be unable to compile your FLA into a native iOS app.

Let us go through the steps required to configure the iOS deployment settings.

Getting ready

Before attempting this recipe, you will need to create a P12 certificate file and a development provisioning profile. If you haven't already done this, then complete the following recipes first:

  • Creating a P12 certificate using Windows, Chapter 1

  • Creating a P12 certificate using Mac OS X, Chapter 1

  • Creating a development provisioning profile, Chapter 1

You should also have set your general iOS settings within Flash Professional, which was covered in the AIR for iOS...
