In this chapter, we have implemented an application that uses Quicktime Kit to capture still images and movies.
Specifically, we covered what Quicktime Kit is and how to capture audio and video previews. We also learned how to capture both still images and movie files. Finally, we looked at how to apply compression options to both the audio and video of captured movie files.
Now that we have seen how much control we have using Quicktime Kit and how easy it is to add connections to a capture session, we want to continue to explore the concept of video recording but this time as a full-screen App. We will see how to put an App into full-screen mode and explore how we may change the user's interaction with the App when it is in full-screen mode, and that will be the topic of our next chapter.
