We started the World
application with basic features to get connected to RavenDB. In a real-world application, you may need to implement more features. In this section, we will see some new features such as paging a query result and registering indexes automatically and add them to the World
application.
As you learned in the previous chapters, the RavenDB Indexes allow you to query RavenDB efficiently and this is a powerful feature of RavenDB. Unfortunately, indexes require that you pre-define them before you can use them.
The problem with RavenDB Indexes is essentially when you need to move a RavenDB database from one location to another you may also need to move the entire database indexes to the new location.
This is where creating indexes automatically is helpful. It is also helpful when you modify your indexes definitions and want to ensure that your application uses the latest versions.
