Chapter 10. Managing Dashboard Security

Managing security is a mandatory requirement in any BI solution, and this is why it is handled very well in almost all available BI tools. In this chapter, we will discuss the security model in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.x, and then how to apply security levels on our dashboard by managing the user's access through Central Management Console (CMC). You will learn also how to filter the data displayed in our dashboard, based on a predefined condition that will be applied to a user or a group. This is a very important feature because we can secure our data using the data security profiles defined inside SAP BusinessObjects Universe.
