To begin with, Mastering Kibana 6.x quickly introduces you to the features of Kibana 6.x, before teaching you how to create smart dashboards in no time. You will explore metric analytics and graph exploration, followed by understanding how to quickly customize Kibana dashboards. In addition to this, you will learn advanced analytics such as maps, hits, and list analytics. All this will help you enhance your skills in running and comparing multiple queries and filters, influencing your data visualization skills at scale. With Kibana’s Timelion feature, you can analyze time series data with histograms and stats analytics. By the end of this book, you will have created a speedy machine learning job using X-Pack capabilities.

Summary

In this chapter, we covered machine learning jobs through which we can find anomalies in data, and, based on the analysis, it can forecast future trends. It uses the proprietary software for unsupervised machine learning to perform these analyses. It has different types of jobs, such as single metric job, where we can analyze a single field at a time, a multi metric job, where we can combine more than one field in a single job to analyze, a population job, where it creates a format with a normal range of field data and, whenever any value goes beyond the range of the population, it marks the anomaly, and finally an advanced job, where we have more customization options and where we can tweak the job as per our requirements.

Apart from these different types of jobs, it is quite obvious that sometimes, we would not be able to decide the right type of job for the given problem in hand. For those scenarios, we have a data visualizer, which we can use to get insights into our data and...
