Creating Visualizations

In the previous chapter, we managed to query our data sources and get raw results. Now, let's add some salt and pepper to make them easier to read.

Since Redash's primary audience is humans, and not machines, we can't ignore the fact that human eyes are able to receive and analyze information more easily through visuals and images rather than text and numbers.

Using visuals, it's much easier to spot complex trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data, as opposed to just staring at table results of it.

In this chapter, we will be covering the following topics:

  • The benefits of visualizations
  • An overview of visualization types
  • Visualizations in action
