In this chapter, we have demonstrated some capabilities of Mathematica to create interactive information-visualization prototypes. Starting with the statistical plot functions, we have eventually moved on to text and graph data. We have demonstrated a possible visualization technique to view high-dimensional data. Then, we have created our own word cloud tool that reveals the frequency evolution of words over the length of a document. Some of Mathematica's graph data visualization capabilities are demonstrated in the Graphs and networks section. Finally, we have developed an interactive chord diagram tool to view the character relationships in the novel Les Misérables. In the next chapter, we will write a map visualization tool and discuss some essential aesthetic matters that every data visualization scientist should know.
