In RavenDB documents are stored in Collections
. A Collection
is a simple logical way to group related documents together and should not be considered as a "database table". Usually, Collections
are used to group together documents that have a similar structure, but this is not a compulsion. From the database standpoint, a Collection
is just a group of documents that share the same entity name.
The Collections screen shows a list of all available collections in the database and the documents associated with them. In the Collections tab screen, we can see different types of Collections
and we see all documents that are related to the selected collection. The documents are loaded from the database and displayed by newest first. The documents from different collections are striped with different colors.
