There are cases where the way in which nodes are displayed is less important than the edges themselves. In other words, the connections are more crucial than the entities in the system themselves. The Edges Custom Color preview mode comes in handy in such cases. To get started with this recipe, load the Les Misérables network from the Welcome screen.
To render the Les Misérables graph in the Edges Custom Color preview mode, follow these steps:
Go to the Preview mode in Gephi by clicking on the Preview tab located just below the menu bar in the Gephi application window.
From the Presets drop-down menu, select Edges Custom Color.
