This feature was known as drill-down in earlier releases, but now it is known as Insertion. The main idea of this feature is that you can interact with the chart, and treat it like a selector. So, for example, if you click on any part of a pie chart that shows the sales by product, you can insert the selected product in a specific cell, and then filter the data in another chart to display only the information for that product. This was also known as the master-detail concept in other tools.
Here, we will configure the insertion feature for the Sales and Quantity by Product combination chart:
Select the Sales and Quantity by Product dashboard component, and navigate to the Properties panel.
Select the Insertion tab.
Check the Enable Data Insertion option.
Link Series Name Destination to the Product!$H$17 Excel cell.
Select Column in Insertion Type.
