Approval process


The approval process in Salesforce is an automated process for your organization that can be used to approve records in Salesforce. Here you can specify what happens when records are approved or rejected based upon your business requirement. After implementing the approval process, your business can run more efficiently. This process will take care of your business one step ahead, where you can define a sequence of steps that are essential to be approved for a record.

A business scenario: David Guzman is working as a system administrator at Universal Containers. He has received a requirement from higher management to create an approval process on the account object. Before activating any account, it must be approved by the Sales Director (Meish Johnson) and CEO (Rakesh Gupta). Initially, all accounts will be created with their statuses as Inactive.
