What is new in QlikView 12 for Developers?


The previous version of this book, QlikView 11 for Developers, has been out since 2012. The book has been very well received and we know that you should not change a winning formula. Besides this chapter and Chapter 4, Data Sources which introduces some new data sources, little has been changed other than correcting the various errata that have been collected through the years.

We also decided to change the book's title to be version-agnostic, since most of the concepts we aim to teach in the book apply for the software in general and are not dependent on the version (11, 11.2, 12, and so on). We also made sure the exercises are also relevant not only for QlikView 11 or QlikView 12, but for QlikView in general. However, there may be small UI changes between versions, but from what we've experienced those UI differences are not very significant at the time of writing.
