Support tools and LCS


The support lifecycle uses a number of tools to users and implementation teams to collaborate on issues, resolutions, and quick turnarounds for closure. These tools/apps include Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition, LCS, and VSTS/VSO to deliver a great support experience to all stakeholders involved.

Let's see how one can create an issue in LCS using following options:

  • Directly from within Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition (AX):
    • Cloud deployment of Finance and Operations provide ability for users and administrator to search about any ongoing issue using browser client. Issue search in the client provide the same search functionality as available Issue search tool in LCS.
    • If any hotfix available based on the search context, user can submit a request for the hotfix. This step creates a hotfix request within LCS project Support page for further investigation and analysis.
