Consolidating reports using the column selector


When using a powerful reporting tool, it is easy to design and potentially develop many reports. Column Selectors are a way to reduce the number of reports by allowing the user to swap columns within the report.

Getting ready

Upon logging into OBIEE, you may need to create a new analysis in answers, based on a subject area.

How to do it...

Column Selector is a powerful tool to reduce the number of reports and enhance the information presented to the user:

  1. 1. Open a new analysis and navigate to the Criteria tab:

  2. 2. Select the columns you require in the analysis. Do not add all the columns you want to include in Column Selector, just add the columns needed:
