Summary

There is a definite variety of document types and modules that can be created in PCM. This gives any organization the flexibility it needs to create a system that is best suited to its operations. There is no need to force yourself into an OPC box. The box can be shaped around how you do business. In this chapter we looked at the document types that allow for multiple acronyms, however, there are many other modules (some will be discussed in later chapters) that are designed for different types of information.

In the next chapter we will be looking at the almighty spreadsheet; and while it is the biggest competitor of PCM, it has its drawbacks.
