SAP has provided a simple tool to develop reports with minimum programming knowledge. We will delve into the steps to create the reports using the SAP query viewer (SQVI
) TCD. Although SQVI is simple, it is only specific to a particular user that is being tagged with it. We will also learn to convert query views to a SAP query in this section.
The query view is accessed via the TCD SQVI
, as shown in the following screenshot:

As we note from the preceding screenshot, the quick view is tagged only to the user, Karthik
. Unlike the SAP query, multiple users cannot have access to the same query view.
We will assign a name to the query and click on the Create button. We can enter the long text in the new window that is autopopulated. There are multiple options that can be mentioned as a source of data for that query. They are as follows:
