In this chapter, we learned about the design thinking approach and how to apply design thinking to gamification. Conducting research on the background and target audience, ideating on a potential solution, prototyping the solution, and testing the outcomes early in the life cycle by gathering end user feedback is a recommended design workflow to deploy gamification.

In the next chapter, we will learn about the steps involved in implementing a gamification system that engages employees.
