The trusting client

Like the ethical client, the trusting client is one of the ideal types of client for a freelancer to work with because they leave you to get on with your work with minimal interruptions. However, the trusting nature of this type of client needs to be handled with care to ensure that the project progresses in the right direction and to maintain a good working relationship with the client.

Characteristics

Characteristics of a trusting client include:

Doesn't raise many questions: Often as a result of not fully understanding the technicalities of your service, a lack of questioning indicates that the client is relying on you to get the work right, without too much input from themselves. This method of client engagement:
- Allows for faster progress in projects that are simple and straightforward which don't need too much guidance from the client.
- Leaves too much scope for mistakes to be made from incorrect assumptions that result in the delivered solution not meeting the client...
