Summary

In this chapter, you have learned how to break up software development into tasks that allow us to implement the methodology we learned in this book. You learned how to map functional elements to classes and methods, and apply the Architectural and Design Patterns.

After defining the base building blocks, we started coding and continued to normalize until the desired level of the code normalization was required.

We wrote automated test scripts that allowed us to test our code with a single action with the data isolation.

This application could then be easily upgraded or downgraded to other versions using the Delta file and PowerShell.

PowerShell also allowed us to build a new database with our software, and let us apply the Delta file and run the automated test. We saw that Visual Studio Online can be used to store our source code in a safe place.
