Chapter 4. Wireflows - Plan Your Product
The next logical step to enrich journey maps is to add the screen designs to key interaction. We will use wireframes to design those views. You can read more about wireframes later in this chapter, as they are the building blocks of our wireflows.
Note
Wireflows are journey maps where key interactions are represented with wireframes of the relevant views. They allow you to create, explore, communicate, and improve the interactions. You can achieve this with only a map, without having to commit resources to coding or visual design.
To create wireflows, we will need the following things:
- An opportunity--an AI-driven customer support chatbot is my choice. What's yours?
- To create wireframes. To do this, we need to understand:
- Whether we want colored or grayscale
- High or low-fidelity wireframes
- How to create the wireframes using Balsamiq Mockups
- To link the wireframes together, creating a wireflow.
- To discuss and improve them, through a Wireflow Improvement Workshop...
