Chapter 11. Administering OneDrive for Business

OneDrive for Business is fairly simple to administer for the most part. Most of what you'll need to do is accessible through the OneDrive admin center, with a few important functions relegated to the administration portal and the Security & Compliance Center. 

As you might guess from the fact that any OneDrive for Business URL uses the format https://yourtenantname-my.sharepoint.com/personal/your_name_yourtenantname.com, OneDrive for Business is actually SharePoint underneath the hood. It's a highly specialized SharePoint that's less about sharing and more about keeping work under a user's personal control. But there's often a lot of confusion for users in figuring out when it's more appropriate to put a document in SharePoint or OneDrive, so there will most likely be plenty of sharing from OneDrive going on, and that can create headaches you'll need to resolve.
