In this recipe, we will look at some of the features of the Odoo.sh platform. We will answer some basic questions, such as when you should use it, and why should it be used.

What is Odoo.sh?

Odoo.sh is a cloud service that provides the platform with the ability to host Odoo instances with custom modules. Putting it simply, it is Odoo's Platform as a Service (PaaS) cloud solution. It is fully integrated with GitHub. Any GitHub repository with valid Odoo modules can be launched on Odoo.sh within minutes. You can examine the ongoing development by testing multiple branches in parallel. Once you have moved your instance to production, you can test some new features with a copy of the production database; this helps to avoid regression. It also takes daily backups.
