Selling music on online stores and streaming services

To sell your music, you have two main options: get signed by a major label/publisher or use a digital distribution company. Labels and publishers each have their own unique way of operating, so I can't speak for them. However, I can teach you how to sell your own music if you choose to go about it independently.

In the past, when you wanted to get your music into an online store, you had to upload your songs manually one store at a time. Those days are gone. These days, you upload your songs to a digital distribution company. The digital distribution company publishes your music to lots of online stores and streaming services at once, collects the revenue, and pays it out to you.
