More tricks with tools

This section looks at a couple of commands to move clips up or down in the timeline, as well as techniques to move around it and change your view, by using tools that haven’t been fully explored yet. Although the Select and Trim tools have had most of the attention, there are other tools that solve some unique problems:

Glancing down the Tools pop-up menu, you’ll see several options. The Blade tool has some tricks, and the Zoom and Hand tools have some minor functions, but really, the Position tool sees the most use. If you’ve used the Multicam Angle Editor, you may have already used this tool, and as you’ll see, it enables all kinds of sneaky tricks. Let’s go there first.
