Using quick create forms

Quick create forms are designed to appear on the right-hand side of the screen to create new records without having to navigate away from the current form or view. The purpose is to quickly create a new record without the user having to navigate back to continue their work.

Quick create forms appear when you click the + button in the application bar at the top of the screen or when you click on + New when creating a new record from a lookup field or subgrid.

Quick create forms have a simple structure. They have a single three-column tab, each with a single section. You cannot add further tabs or sections. Only fields and spacers can be added to quick create forms.

To use Quick Create, you must first enable the entity for Quick Create in the properties for the entity and create a quick create form.
