Displaying conditional widgets with built-in tags

Widgets make it easy for us to add dynamic content and functions in different parts of the site. However, the default features display the widgets in all the posts/pages of the widget area and for all user types. In advanced sites, we need more flexibility by conditionally loading widgets based on conditions such as user type, post/page type, post category, and so on. We can conditionally load widgets by executing custom code on built-in WordPress filters.

In this recipe, we are going to look at the process of conditionally displaying widgets using its built-in filters and conditional tags.
