When building SharePoint sites, it is vital that we understand which files are in which locations. There are three different types of location that our files can reside in:
Source Files. This can be anywhere on our PC, network, or removable media such as CD, DVD, Memory stick, or digital camera. Currently the
wundawinderBackground.jpg imageonly exists in the location that you copied the source files for this book to.Local Web Site. If you take a look in the
WINECfolder insideMy Web Siteson your computer, you will notice that theimagesfolder is empty. This is the local folder that stores the images used by our website.SharePoint Server. When we publish our local website to the server, it will upload a copy of the images so they can be seen by visitors to our site.
