Introduction


In the past, the most common use of shooting with multiple cameras was during the taping of television shows (for example, sitcoms and variety shows), sporting events, and concerts in order to capture different angles and shots of the same event at the same time. Now that cameras have become less expensive and smaller, more and more productions are shot using multiple cameras. Just a few examples include documentaries, music videos, and reality television shows.

For an editor, having more creative choices is always welcomed. However, the issues that come up are how do we sync up all the different cameras, and how do we edit with footage from multiple cameras in an efficient way?
