Measurements to differentiate between improvements from impairments


At the check phase in the PDCA cycle, you check whether your changes improved your measurements. If they improved, continue doing it, if not, reverse and go back or tweak. Together with a change there might be a temporary dip caused by confusion, frustration, or resistance about the change. If you really believe in the change, give it some time before you judge it.

The problem is to measure the right things since what is good from one point of view could cause damage for another view. Here comes some inspiration of what to measure.
