The nasty client


This type of client will often show most of the characteristics of a difficult client, plus some surprises of their own. For most people, nasty clients are best avoided at all costs; they're not worth the effort, stress, or humiliation that they can cause.

Characteristics

Characteristics of a nasty client include the following:

  • Aggressive behavior to others: Aggressive behavior can come in many forms, whether it is speech, threats, body language, or physical aggression such as frequently throwing objects and slamming doors. This type of behavior indicates that the client either gives no consideration to how other people view them or that they have no self-control. Either way, this causes much scope for problems to occur if they disagree with your future actions; do you really want to risk bearing the brunt of their aggression?
