Creating multiple views in LayOut


You're now ready to set up the internal pages of your presentation. For a real project, you should plan carefully what to show. You already gained all the skills for planning your scenes at the start of Chapter 3, Composing the Scene. Now, let's create multiple views in LayOut:

  1. Click on the SketchUp view you inserted into the cover page.

  2. Then, go to Edit | Copy (or right-click on the view and select Copy from the context menu).

  3. Select the Inside Page in the pages pallet, then right-click on Inside Page and select Duplicate. This keeps an empty copy as a template for further pages.

  4. Right-click on the copy and select Rename. Give it a name that describes the content (for example, Elevations).

  5. You can drag the new page above the template Inside Page.

  6. With the new page selected, right-click on the main LayOut window and select Paste from the context menu. A copy of the view from the cover appears on the page.

  7. Resize it using the corner grips. A little less than a quarter...
