Introduction


Getting traceability in business is always an important factor while implementing enterprise software to automate various business activities. The definition of traceability changed time to time as the business evolve, during 20th century the traceability in business were to track an incoming lot, stock in warehouse and delivery. The main challenge for the business was to integrate sales, purchase, inventory and manufacturing to the accounting software, so that consolidated accounting statement can be generated.

Today the challenge is changed, as the companies are getting modern, the customer became real challenge for companies as they are not integrated. Business use plenty of non-integrated software for customer related activities, such as POS, mass mailing, lead tracking, eCommerce, sales consolidation, after sales service, and communication tools.
