Creating variations of your library assets


Let's say, from our previous example, you would like to alter your character's library asset so that he is wearing a red shirt. Well, that was a simple matter of altering the original library object. But what if you want him to have a green as well as a red shirt? A character needs style choices, right? Or maybe you have built your assets to have animations in them and you want to create a library of different actions (walking, sitting, waving, and so on). You can do this pretty easily through Anime Studio.

Now, you could enter your file browser, make some duplicates of the original Library file, enter each file, make the alterations, and then save them all under different names. However, the following steps show an easier way to approach this:

  1. Create a new document in Anime Studio by going to File | New.

  2. Open the Library panel if it's not already open.

  3. Browse to your character and bring him/her onto the document. Remember, to do this, double-click...
