I woke up on Wednesday morning in a bit of a sweat.

Only two days to go until the next meeting with Juliette and I only seemed to have a vague shape in my mind for the strategy she had asked me to prepare and on which my future career in the company depended. The conversation with Justin had highlighted how important the nuances of relationships, company politics and financials were going to be. Graham had indeed said, right at the outset, that it would be all about money and all about people.

Also, I hadn’t arranged a pre-meeting with Christine before we met with Graham and James, or even briefed her on my lunch with Marianne, only my meeting with James. Sometimes I think I am just hopeless.
