Exploring dimension reporting


Overall, this chapter covers the financial dimension model from business and application angles. The required configuration for the main accounts and the account structure directly affects the accuracy of the data entered, by controlling the dimensions' selection and validation.

Financial dimension sets

Financial dimension sets are the result of reporting transactions based on financial dimensions. They can be a combination of more than one financial dimension. Financial dimension sets are initially designed, along with the designing of financial dimensions, in the design phase, to accommodate the reporting perspective, and they can be extended during the operations.
