The Odoo server supports Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs), which means that you can connect Odoo instances from external applications, an example being if you want to show the status of a delivery order in an Android application, which is written in Java. Here, you can fetch the delivery status from Odoo via RPC. With the Odoo RPC API, you can perform any CRUD operations on a database. Odoo RPC is not limited to CRUD operations; you can also invoke public methods of any model.
